We are looking for a highly qualified and motivated Monitoring and Evaluation Officer for the DRC Field Office in Tripoli.
Who are we? DRC has been operating in the Middle East and North Africa for over a decade, running a combination of livelihood, protection, advocacy and relief projects. DRC has six project offices throughout Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, Tunisia/Libya, Turkey, and both a country and regional office in Jordan. DRC Lebanon has been assisting the Syrian displaced, fleeing Syria into northern Lebanon, since May 2011. This assistance has come through the provision of food and non-food items, various outreach activities (registration, follow-up and awareness sessions) rehabilitation of collective shelters and the implementation of quick impact projects.
Duties The M&E Officer is responsible for supporting all M&E activities DRC Field Office area – including technical support to DRC program/sector managers and implementing partners (IPs), the regular monitoring/field visit schedule, and quantitative/qualitative data collection and evaluation activities.
In addition to the above, the selected candidate will have to:
•In collaboration with the HoO South and the M&E Coordinator (Beirut), develop and establish the M&E system for the DRC South Field Office – including a training and capacity development plan for DRC and IP staff; •Consult and support sector/program managers and field office staff with M&E tools relevant to their sector area and specific projects; •Ensure M&E activities are completed according to DRC standards and schedules, including timely reporting and referrals of special cases to relevant programs/sectors or the HAP focal point; •Track and compile progress reports on M&E activities and findings at the FO level; •With support from the M&E Coordinator (Beirut), design and implement the training and capacity development program for DRC South and IPs; •All other duties related to M&E as directed by the HoO.
About you To be considered for the M&E Officer position, you must hold an advanced university degree and have at least three years relevant professional experience working in emergency, development, community, or social work sectors.
•Minimum of 1-2 years of relevant work experience – preferably in social work, community development, non-government, and/or outreach organizations; •Undergraduate degree in social sciences, humanities, quantitative/qualitative research methods, public health, or related field; •A current driving license, held for at least two years; •Good knowledge of local context and community in the Bekaa area; •Languages: Fluency (native speaker) in written and spoken Arabic, strong working knowledge of written and spoken English; •Optimistic attitude and a great sense of humor are essential requirements of the position!
