About the job
The field enumerator is primarily responsible for collecting field data and conducting all kind of required field assessments. They will have direct contact with Syrian refugees and Lebanese residents and have a great bearing on the quality of data collected and ultimately on the quality of data output. Assessment will be multi-sectorial with main focus on shelter needs.
Your main duties and responsibilities will be:
• Attend enumerators’ training and assist in conducting key informant interviews/ take notes
• Receive enumeration materials and equipment from the Activity Officer leader
• Under the Supervision of the activity officer, organize and conduct assessment (including technical assessments) on household level, building level, and community / neighborhood level.
• Transcribe recorded Focus Group Discussions and Interviews wherever relevant;
• Identify protection cases and ensure timely referral to appropriate service providers.
• Comply with DRC SOP and Data protection policy
• Report the number of surveys collected and any unusual situations to the activity officer on a daily basis
• Ensure that all questionnaires and equipment are accounted for
• Turn over all literature and materials used in the survey to the activity officer and follow confidentiality and security procedures to ensure respondent privacy is protected
About you
To be successful in this role we expect you to an education degree in statistics, social science, a degree in civil or mechanical engineer, architect or other related engineering field of study is a plus. Moreover, we also expect the following:
Required
• Highly organized individual, punctual, capable of handling multiple priorities, meeting deadlines, and managing time effectively
• Demonstrated competence in the use of Microsoft Office (especially excel).
• English-Speaking and reading.
• Fluency in Arabic Language
Desirable
• Previous experience in multi-sectorial household assessment is a plus.
• Previous experience in NGO work is a plus.
