We are looking for a highly qualified candidate that has the skills to engage in our organization as a Procurement Manager. Who are we?DRC has been operating in the Middle East and North Africa for over a decade, running a combination of livelihood, protection, advocacy and relief projects. DRC has six project offices throughout Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, Tunisia/Libya, Turkey, and both a country and regional office in Jordan.DRC Lebanon has been assisting the Syrian displaced, fleeing Syria into northern Lebanon, since May 2011. This assistance has come through the provision of food and non-food items, various outreach activities (registration, follow-up and awareness sessions) rehabilitation of collective shelters and the implementation of quick impact projects. For further information about DRC, please refer to our website: www.drc.dk DutiesCapacity Building and Management • Plan and manage the capacity building of the two Beirut based Procurement staff.• Assist the improvement of accountability through the implementation of weekly and monthly reporting.• Provide general support to the Head of Logistics & Procurement • Monitor overall procurement performance for the Beirut office and field sites, ensuring that DRC minimum standards of procurement procedures and country policies are introduced and adhered to throughout the country of operation, briefing and training all relevant staff as required.• Support field staff in Lebanon and Syria remotely with timely communication and coordination Supply Chain • Manage the procurement department in Beirut in order to deliver programme supplies on time and in budget.• Co-ordination of all programme procurement; assist in developing the country procedures and policies for the management of the supply chain in line with DRC guidelines and procedures. • Ensure local, national and international procurement practices are compliant with DRC and donor regulations.• Support the Syria programme with high-value procurement, tendering process, order and payment processing. About youTo be successful in this role you must have at least 3 years International experience in managing large scale procurement in an emergency environment and experience of building and developing the capacity of logistics staff through the use of training in addition to performance management frameworks and development plans and excellent interpersonal and team skills. Ideally you will also have Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or other relevant area and experience in regional positions or large country programmes (+500 staff) in addition to experience in working in shelter programmes. Experience in distributions of NFI’s and food is desirable.Arabic language skills are a plus. We offerAn interesting job in one of the best NGO’s in the world.
