We are looking for a highly qualified candidate that had the skills to enrol in our organization as a procurement Officer.
Who are we?
DRC has been operating in the Middle East and North Africa for over a decade, running a combination of livelihood, protection, advocacy and relief projects. DRC has six project offices throughout Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, Tunisia/Libya, Turkey, and both a country and regional office in Jordan. DRC Lebanon has been assisting the Syrian displaced, fleeing Syria into northern Lebanon, since May 2011. This assistance has come through the provision of food and non-food items, various outreach activities (registration, follow-up and awareness sessions) rehabilitation of collective shelters and the implementation of quick impact projects.
Duties
Procure all materials and equipment ordered by the projects in a cost-effective,timely and transparent manner in line with DRC and donor specific policies, in conjunction with the Procurement Manager
Ensure that all orders are tracked from point of planning and request through to final receipt. Send the procurement tracker to the Procurement Manager on a monthly basis.
Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual procurement reports.
Provide data to monitor and evaluate the overall logistics& procurement performance in support of the programs.
Coordinate transportation of freight by land, air and sea, in line with programme budgets and needs; ensuring the most cost effective and reliable means of transport is used for the timely delivery of supplies to projects.
Constantly search the market for new suppliers that may provide better service or value for money for DRC.
Share the details of any assets or inventory purchased with the Logistics Officer in order to facilitate asset and inventory tracking.
About you
To be successful in this role you must have relevant work experience in logistics and procurement preferably in standard procurement procedures and documentation,supply chain management and excellent IT skills. in addition to that you must be fluent in Arabic and English.
We offer

DRC will offer the successful applicant a contract until end of December 2014,renewable (depending on funding and performance) with a probation period. Salary and conditions will be in accordance with Danish Refugee Council’s Terms of Employment for national. Basic salary: 1550 USD
