The Partnership Coordinator is responsible for strategically positioning DRC to support partnerships with national partners across Lebanon. This role has a country focus and ensures compliance to DRC procedures and guidelines within the country. The role contributes to the development of country strategies, which are translated into action plans and day-to-day tasks. The role provides support and/or technical guidance to country operations while overseeing country activities.
Your main duties and responsibilities will be:
• Lead on and ensure the effective implementation of DRC’s partnership strategy. Contribute to country strategy planning. Contribute to fundraising and reporting efforts related to partnerships
• Overall responsibility to oversee the tools and process flow for partnership management at DRC.
• Ensure the quality of partnerships through their effective coordination, relationship management and delivery of quality capacity building support
• Support and coordinate the involvement of staff across all programs and operations departments including protection, livelihoods, coordination/analysis, finance, procurement, HR, RCA, and safety in assessments, ongoing support to partners and in reporting obligations
• Work closely with the MEL department to ensure that partners are supported to build effective monitoring systems for the projects and staff
• Use ongoing checks to ensure that DRC staff and partner staff are pleased with the partnership, problem solve and mediate where issues arise
• Oversee all due diligence, assessments and compliance issues in coordination with the field teams
• Conduct partner mapping in new areas.
• Ensure all partners have been assessed prior to final proposal submission
• Assist field teams in the identification and selection of partners with the view to support more strategic partnerships at DRC, including through frequent field visits
• Oversee the quality of all contractual arrangements with partners, including contract amendments
• Represent DRC at relevant donor and inter-agency coordination meetings where required at national and field level;
Other:
• Undertake other requirements in as required by the line manager.
About you
To be successful in this role we expect you to have a degree in law, international relief and development, social sciences, public health, statistics/research methods or related relevant field. Master’s Degree is highly regarded. Moreover, we also expect the following:
Required
• 5 - 6 years of experience in international organizations and humanitarian settings, specifically in capacity building, grants and reporting.
• 3-4 years of experience in working with, and good working knowledge of local actors of a variety of capacities both technically and operationally
• 3-4 years’ experience in working with Syrian refugees in Lebanon
• 3-4 years of proven excellent skills in coordination technical management of organization staff and partners
• 2-3 years of experience in developing tools, manuals, training modules and plans for the purpose of capacity building and project management;
• Experience in operational capacity building of CBOs, and experience in developing an operational capacity building toolkit all strongly regarded;
• Fluency in Arabic and English Languages.
Technical competencies:
• Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills, creativity and flexibility
• Good knowledge of the humanitarian and development sectors in Lebanon, and the relevant INGO’s, NGO’s, UN, Governmental and Academic institutions a distinct advantage
• Strong level of computer literacy (Microsoft Word, Excel and Power point);
• Nuanced understanding of partnerships which encourages participation, articulates the rights of partners, alongside managing relational issues and ensuring partner projects are compliant with DRC financial and procurement protocols
• Comfortable in a multi-cultural environment, flexible

We offer
- Contract length: 12 months
- Band: G1, Basic Salary: 3400 USD (depending on years of experience)
