Who are weThe Danish Refugee Council has worked in Lebanon since September 2004, and the programs have followed the country’s needs and progress. The main focus of today’s efforts in Lebanon is to help the hundreds of thousands of Syrian refugees, who have fled across the border to find protection from the conflict in their homeland. DRC is simultaneously maintaining the efforts toward the vulnerable groups of Palestinian refugees in Lebanon. About the jobConduct outreach activities for women and girls through outreach visits, risk identification and mitigation, and support the creation and follow up of women and girls’ committees.
Duties• Conduct daily assessment using different assessment questionnaire (UCAP questionnaire, emergency cash/protection questionnaire, etc.)• Receive referrals from different agencies and local actors and provide feedback of actions taken;• Conduct visits to vulnerable individuals or families’ homes, assess their needs and report accordingly by: filling out a questionnaire, conduct interviews using physical files;• Identifying individuals with specific needs and referring them to the appropriate facilities or services, including direct service provision through DRC;• Identifying protection cases and doing appropriate internal or external referrals (such as separation of family members, security, sexual and gender-based violence, etc.);
About youTo be successful in this role you must have:• Bachelor/Degree in social work, political science, law or other related field; • Previous INGO experience preferred;• Good understanding of challenges faces by women and girls; basic understanding of GBV concepts.
Ideally you will also have:• Master degree in Social work, Counseling, psychology or other related field• Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills, creativity and flexibility;
We offerAn interesting job in one of the world’s best NGOs. DRC will offer the successful applicant a 6 months contract, renewable dependent on both funding and performance. You must be available to start work from august 24th and be willing and able to work in Akkar area.Salary and conditions will be in accordance with Danish Refugee Council’s Terms of Employment for National staff. This position will be placed at level B1, equivalent to 1,204 per month (basic salary).
