For further information about DRC, please refer to our website: www.drc.dk About the job Implement and monitor DRCprotection program, including protection monitoring and advocacy, community-based protection assistance to persons with specific needs in akkar. Duties• Supervise mobile teams of Protection Monitoring and Protection Desks Assistants in urban and rural settings; • Define in coordination with the Protection Manager role and responsibility of the Community Focal Points in the protection monitoring activities and train them accordingly• Receive referrals from different agencies, prioritize type of assistance to be provided, assign referrals to protection assistants and ensure timely individual protection assistance and follow up is provided; • Ensure Protection components are on track, including the development of protection monitoring tools in coordination with the Protection Manager These components include protection monitoring and residual individual protection assistance; • Link the protection monitoring program to  localized advocacy groups and other  relevant local stakeholders (incl. the Community-based Networks organized through the municipalities by DRC, service providers, etc.) where applicable; • Provide training to the team and other relevant staff (Municipality Support Assistants, etc.) on protection and humanitarian principles, human rights and international legal framework, protection monitoring, assistance to persons with specific needs; • Coordinate with all relevant local and international protection stakeholders; • Participate in the Protection working groups and other for a established for coordination of Protection activities and interventions. About you Essential qualifications: • Bachelor in Social work, political science, law or related field;• Ability to maintain confidentiality, respect, non-discrimination and safety of client at all times; • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills, creativity and flexibility.• Comfortable in a multi-cultural environment, flexible and able to handle pressure well.• Flexibility in working overtime when needed; • Fluency in Arabic and English required; Essential experience:• Minimum three years’ experience in related field;• Experience managing teams;• Experience providing trainings and building capacity of staff. Salary and conditions will be in accordance with Danish Refugee Council’s Terms of Employment for National staff. Basic Salary: 1,561 USD.
