About the jobConduct household visits in order to provide newcomer families and their children with psychosocial support, including information on available services, registration at UNHCR, key protection messages and basic psychological first aid (PFA). Assess and identify cases and make timely and safe referrals to protection, GBV and child protection teams, as appropriate.
Duties• Identify settlements of vulnerable women and girls in the catchment areas of the centre-based activities; • To supervise mobile PSS, recreational and awareness activities in informal settlements, collective centres and other community spaces by creating a safe setting where women and girls can express their feelings and needs;• To supervise and monitor the work of the animators when applicable (who support the implementation of the PSS and recreational activities);• Carry out field visits and conduction of information sessions on available services, reproductive health, hygiene, etc.; • Identification and referrals of GBV survivors for case management and other specialized services; • Identifying other protection cases and doing appropriate referrals;
About you• Bachelor/Degree in Social work, political science, law or other related field; • Ability to maintain confidentiality, respect, non-discrimination and safety of client at all times; • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills, creativity and flexibility.• Computer literacy (Microsoft Word and Excel); • Fluency in Arabic required.• Ability to communicate in English and write reports in English strongly preferred.
We offerAn interesting job in one of the world’s best NGOs. DRC will offer the successful applicant a six month contract, renewable dependent on both funding and performance. Salary and conditions will be in accordance with Danish Refugee Council’s Terms of Employment for National staff. This position will be placed at level B+1, equivalent to 1,413 USD per month.
