We are looking for a highly qualified and motivated Safety Officer for the DRC Field Office in North Bekaa.
Who are we?
DRC has been operating in the Middle East and North Africa for over a decade, running a combination of livelihood, protection, advocacy and relief projects. DRC has six project offices throughout Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, Tunisia/Libya, Turkey, and both a country and regional office in Jordan. DRC Lebanon has been assisting the Syrian displaced, fleeing Syria into northern Lebanon, since May 2011. This assistance has come through the provision of food and non-food items, various outreach activities (registration, follow-up and awareness sessions) rehabilitation of collective shelters and the implementation of quick impact projects.
Duties
Actively participate in UN Security Cell meetings within the area of operations
Monitor the evolving situation in the area of DRC/DDG operations in coordination with other actors as per regional, country and programme guidelines
Collect, verify, analyze and report information that affects, or may affect, DRC/DDG operations
Track security related incidents and developments and provide trend/pattern analysis
Conduct regular Security Risk Assessments (SRAs) as per DRC/DDG policy
Assist with the implementation of regional security policies, protocols and procedures related to the safe implementation of programme activities
About you
To be successful in this role you must have Tertiary education (Bachelor minimum) in communication, politics, risk or other related field and be able to work under pressure. In addition, excellent communication skills, calm and a good sense of humor, flexibility in terms of working hours and working locations is essential. As for the language, both English and Arabic are mandatory in speaking and typing.

Basic Salary: 1505 USD
