Senior Case Worker (Gbv) - Tripoli

We are looking for a highly qualified candidate who will be responsible for providing direct supervision for psychosocial support and case management to vulnerable women and girls and GBV survivors. Who are we DRC has been operating in the Middle East and North Africa for over a decade, running a combination of livelihood, protection, advocacy and relief projects. DRC has six project offices throughout Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, Tunisia/Libya, Turkey, and both a country and regional office in Jordan. DRC Lebanon has been assisting the Syrian displaced, fleeing Syria into northern Lebanon, since May 2011. This assistance has come through the provision of food and non-food items, various outreach activities (registration, follow-up and awareness sessions) rehabilitation of collective shelters and the implementation of quick impact projects. For further information about DRC, please refer to our website: www.drc.dk About the job The GBV Senior Caseworker will be responsible for providing direct supervision for psychosocial support and case management to vulnerable women and girls and GBV survivors.   Duties Supervision and support of GBV Case workers. Review all GBV cases followed by the GBV caseworker through the use of the supervision tool and develop systems for regular supervision of case management; Organize case management meetings with service providers when needed; Prepare and submit weekly, monthly and 3-month work plans in a timely manner upon officer’s validation; Develop and maintain effective working relationship with relevant stakeholders including partner agencies, community leaders and service providers; Work closely with the child protection section when GBV cases involve child survivors, particularly when assessing best interest of the child;   About you To be successful in this role you must have Bachelor in Social work, Counseling, psychology or other related field; 3 to 4 years of experience in counselling survivors of gender-based violence or vulnerable women and girls;  Computer literacy (Microsoft Word and Excel).   Ideally you will also have Flexibility in working overtime when needed; Computer literacy (Microsoft Word and Excel);     We offer An interesting job in one of the world’s best NGOs. You must be available to start work from 6th of April 2014 and be willing and able to work in Tripoli. Salary and conditions will be in accordance with Danish Refugee Council’s Terms of Employment for National staff. This position will be placed at level B5, equivalent to a basic salary of $1460 in addition to 120$ transportation allowance per month.
