Supply Chain Specialist

About the job 

The Supply Chain Specialist ensures the timely delivery and effective procurement and logistical support to the implementation of DRC programmes across Lebanon, providing technical guidance and trainings on the new ERP system “Dynamics” to the field offices. Your main duties and responsibilities will be:

• Collaborate with programme staff to ensure completion of procurement planning and planning of other logistics requirements at programme kick-off. 

• Support the Supply Chain Specialist in Beirut in Leading the delivery of logistics and procurement activities in line with the DRC Operations Handbook and ensure these activities are timely, effective and efficient in meeting the needs of programme delivery, and that speed of process flow is balanced against having appropriate controls, checks and balances in place. 

• Ensure procurement processes are well implemented via the new ERP system “Dynamics” by all responsible staff / roles and that all methods and procedures are relevant to ERP manuals shared to all staff. 

• Provide capacity building, mentoring, training and advice to Supply chain staff.  

• Deliver appropriate training and coaching to programme staff to improve understanding of Supply chain processes such as implementing their work via Dynamics (online ERP system).​

About you 

To be successful in this role we expect you to have a Bachelor or Master degree in Supply chain or Business Administration. Moreover, we also expect the following:​

Required  

• At least 5 years of experience in Logistics and Procurement 

• At least 2 years of experience in management with preferably national or global supervision skills 

• Demonstrable technical expertise and experience in supply chain management, warehouse operations and management, transportation and fleet management, asset management and large scale procurements  

• Ability to collaborate with many offices and non-operation staff 

• Willing and able to travel in remote and unstable areas within Lebanon 

• Advance computer skills in Excel 

• Strong knowledge of DRC Supply chain management 

• Fluent in English Language​

We offer 

  • Contract length: 3 Months contract 
  • Band G Level 2, 3000 USD (Depending on years of experience) for Nationals.  
  • Duty Station: Beirut 
  • Start date: April 2019​
