Duties and deliverablesThe PSS training consultant has the overall responsibility to deliver a 2 day-training module to DRC’s PSS team on the use of “Creative Approaches and Art for Psychosocial Support and Group Facilitation”, including one day of preparation. The consultant will build the facilitation skills of DRC’s PSS team and highlight the role of Arts as an essential element in the provision of PSS to different age groups from early childhood to adulthood.The proposed training module, will have the following aim: - Train DRC’s animators, PSS assistants, and officers on the use of artistic and creative instruments in their work. - Train DRC’s PSS team members to enhance their group animation and facilitation skills- Build the capacity of DRC’s PSS team members to provide constructive feedback and appreciation during group sessions- Suggested training sessions might include: the use of interactive theater, puppets and puppet making in psychosocial support activities, dramatic exercises, rhythmic exercises, and storytelling. Expected deliverables:- Submit a training agenda and a detailed training plan to DRC’s GBV coordinator prior to the training.- Training of staff on the use of artistic and creative techniques in their work on the week of the 11th of January- Schedule follow up training and coaching session with DRC’s PSS team - Share resources and references to creative instruments and techniques About youTo be successful in this role you must Bachelor/ Degree in Social Work, Fine Arts, Theatre Studies, Stage Direction, Counseling, Psychology, Psychosocial animation, and or other related field; at least 5-7 years of experience in stage direction, theatre, and psychosocial animation; Extensive experience in the provision of trainings on the use of artistic techniques for frontline workers. Ideally you will also have previous experience in working with frontline workers from International Organization in Lebanon. We offerAn interesting job in one of the world’s best NGOs. DRC will offer the successful applicant a 3 days consultancy. You must be available to start work from January 11th, 2016, and be willing and able to work in Beirut, with frequent travels to the field.Consultancy fees and conditions will be in accordance with Danish Refugee Council’s Terms of Employment for consultants. This position is open for both national and international staff and is remunerated USD $300 per day.
