Warehouse Assistant(Lebanese National Staff Only)

We are looking for a highly qualified to ensure the safe storage and movement of relief stock through DRC Tripoli Warehouse Who are we?  DRC has been operating in the Middle East and North Africa for over a decade, running a combination of livelihood, protection, advocacy and relief projects. DRC has six project offices throughout Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, Tunisia/Libya, Turkey, and both a country and regional office in Jordan.  DRC Lebanon has been assisting the Syrian displaced, fleeing Syria into northern Lebanon, since May 2011. This assistance has come through the provision of food and non-food items, various outreach activities (registration, follow-up and awareness sessions) rehabilitation of collective shelters and the implementation of quick impact projects.  For further information about DRC, please refer to our website: www.drc.ngo   Duties  • Collaborate with distribution officer and the distribution team to ensure daily reconciliation for food and NFI distribution  • Daily supervision of the Tripoli Warehouses and casual laborers  • Liasing with suppliers for coordination of deliveries  • Planning and monitoring the receipt, storage, loading and dispatch of goods  • Maintaning DRC warhouse documentation on an orderly and systematic filing system  • Planning future storage capacity and locations within the warehouse  • Conduct routine stock takes of stocks and assets  • Producing regular reports and statistics on daily weekly and monthly basis   About you  To be successful in this role you must have a Warehousing/Logistics Certification and 3 years of experience in supervision/control of a large warehouse and computer skills.  You must have Good communication and negotiation skills, proven to be a team player and leader and to demonstrate a sound knowledge of warehouse documentation procedures and systems   Ideally you will also have a NGO experience   We offer  An interesting job in one of the world’s best NGOs. DRC will offer the successful applicant a contract until 30th of June 2016, renewable dependent on both funding and performance. You must be available to start work from May 2016 and be willing and able to work in Tripoli.  Salary and conditions will be in accordance with Danish Refugee Council’s Terms of Employment for National staff.
