Objective:
The objective of this TOR is to outline the framework for the development of the GBV Policy that will guide the organization’s response to GBV, promote awareness, and establish measures for prevention, protection, and support services for victims.
Scope of Work:
DAA will hire an expert to develop the gender policy through the following methodology:
- Conduct a comprehensive review of existing GBV policies at local, national, and international levels.
- Engage with key stakeholders (DAA beneficiaries-partners- platforms members-government bodies-prisons staff…)
- Develop a draft GBV Policy, including prevention strategies, response protocols, and referral mechanisms.
- Provide a comprehensive implementation plan, including monitoring and evaluation processes.
- Ensure that the policy aligns with local laws, international human rights standards, and best practices in GBV prevention and response.
Key Deliverables:
- An initial assessment report on the state of GBV policies and practices.
- A draft GBV Policy document that includes actionable steps for implementation.
- A finalized GBV Policy, incorporating stakeholder feedback.
- A detailed implementation plan, including capacity-building recommendations for staff.
Reporting and Supervision:
The consultant will report to the compliance officer and provide regular updates on progress. Final reports will be submitted for approval.
