About this Position
The project Coordinator shall be an advocate of girls and women’s rights, with experience in coordination and/or management.
The coordinator represents Dar Al Amal organisation, and is hosted by DAA. She will report functionally to Defense for Children/ Ecpat, and to DAA.
Responsibilities and Tasks
i) Project Coordination and Monitoring
- Coordinate the work of DAA project team and between DAA and other partners.
- Facilitate linking and learning between the different She Leads program components
- Responsible for facilitating and overseeing the joint planning and monitoring process of the DAA and for compiling and submitting annual plans and reports.
- Monitoring and safeguarding of the meaningful engagement of GYW in She Leads.
- Managing the budget, and coordinating the budget of joint activities.
ii) Program Support
- Support consistency and links between the DAA and local partners
- Advise on potential areas of collaboration between She Leads partners.
- Support linkage of She Leads with other relevant initiatives.
Knowledge
- Have a master’s degree, preferably in the field of social science, gender, human rights.
- Knowledge about Child Rights/Human Rights Issues and Gender-Equality in the country. Knowledge of these issues at the international level is a plus.
- Knowledge about gender equality and gender transformative approaches.
- Knowledge about national, regional and international institutions that are concerned with Child Rights and Gender Equality.
- Understanding of programme management and coordination of NGOs/CSOs.

Experience
- Prior experience of at least three years in programme coordination, consortium coordination, lobby & advocacy, children’s rights, meaningful youth participation and/or similar areas, preferably with a civil society/non-governmental organization.
- Experience in networking with CSOs and relevant government departments.
- Experience in embedding a gender transformative approach and familiarity with youth participation approaches.
