Researcher

Methodology:

DAA will hire a researcher to conduct a national qualitative study covering the eight districts in Lebanon, and targeting female sex workers (including FSWinside the prisons) and stakeholders, and focusing on their situation during the covid19 pandemic, the difficulties they face, the changes that affect their work during this period and highlights the official and informal response to their needs

Deliverables:

1.  Design, development and finalization of the research methodology: In consultation with DAA team.
2.  Development of research protocol: The researcher will develop a research protocol, including confidentiality form for the research, to facilitate the process of the study in an effective, culturally appropriate, gender-sensitive, and ethical manner.
3.  Literature Review: The researcher will review all written documents concerning female sex workers
4. Outline of Final Report: The researcher will also produce the outline for the final report that will contain : Executive Summary, background, key findings, recommendations and annexes ( research tools - list of stakeholders interviewed - sites visited- consent forms)
5. Data analysis and Reporting: the researcher will produce a draft report
6. Final report

Qualification:

•  Have a master’s degree, preferably in the field of social science, gender, human rights.
•  Have at least 2 years’ work experience in the field of social science research, including data collection, analysis and report writing.
• Have proven knowledge of and experience in implementing research methodologies including quantitative and qualitative data collection methods such as FGD and KII, including at the local level.
• Be fluent in English language.
• Strong personal commitment to and training and/or work experience of human rights and gender equality.
