Call for Expression of Interest for Construction Companies / GIZ

Eligibility criteria

The construction company shall be able to fulfil the following services:

  • Concrete works (high quality in precast concrete, sun shading structures, etc.).
  • Leveling and earthworks: terracing, fence, retaining walls.
  • Landscaping amenities installation: Xeriscape, Softscape (soil amendments, plants transfer, etc.) and Hardscape.
  • MEP design and installation: heating system, irrigation system, rainwater harvesting structures, automated irrigation systems, stormwater runoff management, lighting, solar panels, etc.
  • Sports facilities: sports surfaces and sports equipment.
  • Recreational spaces: gardens equipment and maintenance, outdoor games and park items, etc.

The company must:

  1. Provide a proof of membership at the Lebanese Contractor’s Syndicate under category “Special Building” (المباني المتخصصة) for projects between 0.5 and 5 million USD.(http://www.lcsyndicate.com.lb/web/Qualifications.aspx?ID=5 )
  2. Able to operate in different locations at the same time (Bekaa and Mount Lebanon)
  3. Ensure safety of the users and the workers on site
  4. Have at least 3 years’ experience in implementing outdoor facilities (parks, playgrounds, gardens and water and energy efficiency solutions.)
  5. Provide 3 references of similar projects such as playgrounds, parks, gardens, and water and energy efficiency solutions.

Application procedure

Step 1: Complete the “Expression of Interest Form”

Step 2: Attach a Cover Letter from your company according to the following guidelines:

  • Title “Expression of Interest”
  • Mandate of the company
  • History of the company
  • Statement on commitment for: i) respecting environmental and social standards (ILO), ii) ensuring the dedication to the project timeline
  • Signed by the Chairman of the company

The Cover Letter and completed Expression of Interest shall be stamped and signed by the respective company.

 

Step 3: Send an electronic copy of the documentation: a scanned copy of the Cover Letter and completed Expression of Interest to procurement.libanon@giz.de
