The VTE4all project financed by the EU and implemented by GIZ, is designed to support Lebanon in the context of the protracted displacement crisis providing job-related competences for vulnerable Lebanese, Syrians and Palestinians. The main project approach is participatory and based on capacity development which aims to empower key stakeholders in Vocational and Technical Education. This involves capacity building of trainers to deliver Competence Based Training (CBT) modules, assessors to assess and certify job-related competences, and the General Directorate of Vocational and Technical Education (DGVTE) teachers to develop lessons in distance learning modality. Furthermore, the project will be piloting for three years a Boarding Training Centre (BTC) in collaboration with USEK University in the construction sector where trainees will come from different parts of Lebanon and from different credos and nationalities. The facility for the BTC is an old supermarket in Zouk Mosbeh. It is currently composed of 2 floors, 2,000 sqm each, divided into big halls, storage areas, and modular spaces with an open-space area of 1,000 sqm. The renovation of the facility will be done by the trainees attending Work Based Learning (WBL) activities.

Outline of the mission

The professional is required to deliver one or more training modules. Each training module requires 6 working days from the professional. 5 consecutive days from Monday to Friday and the Saturday of the following week. The working hours are from 9:00 to 13:00 and from 14:00 to 18:00. The professional will be informed 15 days before the start date of the delivery.

3 Installing conduits for electrical lines

4 Installing indoor waste & freshwater pipes

5 Repairing indoor walls

6 Plastering indoor walls

7 Floor insulation and screeding

8 Bathroom waterproofing and tiling

9 Installing low voltage system

10 Installing AC units

11 Gypsum board false ceiling installation

12 Painting indoor walls

13 Installing sanitary fixtures

Requirements

• Nationality: Lebanese, Syrian or Palestinian.
• 10 years of working experience building multistore apartments or villas.
• 10 years of experience delivering Travaux Pratiques in the BT bâtiment et travaux publics.
