Brief information on the project

Due to the value loss of the Lebanese Lira, imports have become so expensive that importing necessary production inputs has become almost impossible putting food security at risk.

The project Strengthening Agriculture, local Communities and small and medium Enterprises (ACE) aims to strengthen economic stabilization and improve social cohesion through targeted measures to promote cooperation and exchange in three areas of action:

1. Agriculture: Support of farmers to form agricultural associations and to produce in accordance with market needs, including training and sharing of good agricultural practices.
2. Support of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME): Targeted promotion of income prospects with financial and cacapacity-building measures to promote entrepreneurial action and closing important gaps in the value chains
3. Local communities & social cohesion: Joint planning & implementation of low-threshold community initiatives both within civil society and together with local governments to strengthen positive intergroup experiences as well as increasing confidence in local capacity to act

The project is categorized as part of the transitional development assistance. The project will promote individual skills so that the parties responsible in agricultural businesses, food processing enterprises and other SMEs downstream of agriculture, as well as local authorities and civil society, will be able to understand changes and adapt their actions.

Context

Numerous Projects from GIZ LBN Portfolio share an office community located in Hazmieh area. In this context, we are looking for local/international providers to submit supply the project with needed assets to help the team members in securing private meeting spaces for the maximization of efficiency and minimizing time loss.

The contractor shall provide one or both items:

1. Silent Phone Booth – having the following Description and Specifications (quantity 2):

• Curved Water Resistant MDF Wood painted
• Configuration - 10mm Security Glass - Wood Framed Glass Door - MDF Painted Shelf - Upholstered Fabric
• Interior: Ventilation Fan & Spot Lighting in the ceiling - Bench inside the booth (upholstered)
• Electrical Plugs built in
• Dimensions:220Hx100D-130 Upper W - 100 Lower W
• Fabric Color: black
• Wood Color: White

2. Silent Box – Meeting Space for 4 Persons – having the following Description and Specifications (quantity 1):

• Upholstered acoustic walls with fabric with table3
• Table Dimensions: 120x65, H=67cm
• black MDF legs
• Fit for 4 persons
• Overall dimensions: 180x250cm, H=142cm

 Requirements on the format of the bid

 Technical Offer

1 The technical offer contains:

• Company’s Portfolio, Background and Experience
• Company’s legal documents (registration papers, tax registration, POA etc)
• Characteristics and Specifications of the items with pictures
• Certificates of guarantee of the items

2 Financial Offer/Proposal in USD with Taxes/VAT and Registration  

•  Bank account details of the firm/consultant inside Lebanon (fresh account if any)
•  Financial Offer (dated, signed and stamped): Filled excel sheet including the price (per unit and the total) of each LOT, specify the date of bid validity 

Eligibility Criteria

• The bidder shall comply with all statutory regulations under public (procurement) law applicable to it.
• The supplier must have an official registration and MoF registration in Lebanon (minimum requirement)
• The supplier should provide a guarantee document for the concerned equipment
• Technical Acceptance of the Bid (meeting the requested specifications)
  1. Technical specification of each item (material, color, dimensions…)
  2. Live Picuture of each item of the lots
• The supplier should prove that equipment is not supplied from RUSSIA OR BELARUS (sign and stamp Self-declaration_EU-Russia-Sanctions)
• Bidding In the country of assignment is required. International procurement experience is preferable.
• The supplier should be able to understand our procurement process (minimum requirement)
