Context
GIZ PART II project aims at supporting Palestinian Refugees to participate in shaping their own socioeconomic conditions at community level. Despite the vast array of challenges facing Lebanon and its residents, PART II is acting at various levels to ensure sustainability of this support. These actions include the project’s backing to local initiatives with the aim to enable a better environment, supporting the community to improve their living conditions during the ongoing economic plight.
Al Ard is an agriculture cooperation founded by a group of Lebanese people, Palestinian and Syrian refugees living in Burj Al Shemali area in Tyre, South Lebanon, The project aims at increasing social, economical,agricultural engagement and solidarity among the various communities of the area, and at creating new opportunities for people to meet and greet, produce and sell their homemade products.
Building on the capacity building workshop conducted by GIZ PART II with Al Ard and other socio-economic cooperatives, and following the cooperative principles, this project pursues to support interested people in the production of organic vegetables through:
- Spreading agriculture education and culture among schools & kids;
- Selling homemade products following the cooperative principles: enhanced solidarity steming from building connections between people, learning from each others and exchanging their home products;
- Hosting breakfast and dinners using Al Ard products (gatherings);
- Teaching skills on homemade products/food.
GIZ PART II supports this cooperative to be economically self-sufficient and sustainable in the cooperative field among its communities, and to contribute to the improvement of the latter’s socio-economic conditions. This support will contribute to the for activities’ implementation.
Scope of work

The offers shall be submitted in English language only.
The offers shall be signed & stamped.
The financial offer must be in USD only (USD) including taxes, should be valid at least for Four Months after the submission date (Please mention it in your offer).
Please state the latest delivery date possible
Please state your prices including delivery cost to the mention locations
Please quote your prices bearing in mind that a penalty of 1/2 % of the total purchase order sum will be deducted on each delayed week calculated from the due date of delivery.
You shall not be reimbursed for your submitted offers.

The tenderers should submit their financial offers signed and stamped with the delivery fees (as per the financial offer attached). GIZ will not pay any extra costs not included in the offers. The tenderer shall submit bank account details inside Lebanon (fresh account if any), and the bid validity.
All documents must be submitted in English. Handwritten translation is allowed.
All bidders who fail to submit the mentioned documents will be disqualified.
N.B. The maximum mailbox receive size is capped at 25 MB. Documents exceeding the mentioned MB should be transferred via : Start (giz.de) (Provide the password)
