Recruitment context
The GIZ VTE4all project is looking for outreach volunteers. The outreach volunteer will ensure support in the effective implementation of GIZ VTE4all project outreach and referrals result. The outreach volunteer will work under the orientations of the Jr. short-term expert for outreach, to whom they shall report directly and ensure a culture of communication and cooperation, contributing actively to the precise and effective operations of the GIZ VTE4all project. The volunteer will receive an action plan prepared by the Jr. short-term expert for outreach.
Required Qualifications
- Competencies and Knowledge: Formal Education
- University degree in Business Administration, Business Management, or equivalent
Other qualifications:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to explain and disseminate information in Arabic
- Good verbal and written command of English
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft 365
- Creative, open-minded team player with a strong willingness to learn
- Previous work/volunteer experience with INGOs or NGOs is a plus
- Ability to think and work independently and work precisely with attention to detail
- Constructive and positive attitude
- The initiative, sound judgment, and demonstrated ability to work harmoniously with staff members of different national and cultural backgrounds
- Adaptable, open-minded, and accepting to other cultures and backgrounds
The outreach volunteer will support in the following:
Support in the processing of new outreach referrals of beneficiaries interested in VTE4all services:
- Conduct first calls for beneficiaries interested to enroll in our training, as per the questionnaire given by the Jr. short-term expert for outreach
- Collect information and insert it in the excel table for monitoring outreach beneficiaries given by the Jr. short-term expert for outreach
- Report the results of phone calls daily to the Jr. short-term officer for outreach
- Conduct at least 40 first calls per day
- Support with the Vocational Assessments as instructed by Jr. short-term expert for outreach
- Conduct at least 20 3rd calls per day for beneficiaries accepted to the training and inform them about all training details as requested by the outreach team
- Fill in the outreach monitoring sheet and be accountable for the proper data entry
- Collect PCR test results on Sunday morning and replace those whose tests are positive
- Conduct field trips at least once a month, on a Sunday afternoon, to the accommodation of trainees near USEK-Kaslik to receive and welcome trainees, inform the trainees about the hotel and BTC ground rules, introduce them to what they will be learning in the coming two weeks, take attendance and replace dropouts as instructed by the Jr. short-term expert for outreach, Jr. short-term expert for construction and Key expert for construction
Support with admin work:
- Assist the admin assistant and the Jr. short-term officer for outreach in admin work as demanded, including filing, scanning documents, preparing documents, and collecting documents
- Conduct field visits a minimum of once per week as requested by outreach team members to meet with local NGOs, INGOs, municipalities, religious institutions, private technical schools, and other partners to collect new referrals from them
- Collect new referrals from VTE4all outreach volunteers
- Support in organizing and preparing for meetings, workshops, and training
- Perform other tasks might be assigned by the outreach team and the admin assistant according to office work and the demonstrated capabilities
Duration of the assignment: 6 months renewable up to one year
