As part of the Dialogue Formats Project, DW Akademie, in collaboration with its local partner Utopia, is implementing a series of activities in northern Lebanon aimed at empowering citizen journalists from marginalized communities. The project seeks to strengthen civic engagement and amplify local voices by promoting constructive dialogue through both online and in-person formats. To highlight the project's impact, a short video will be produced capturing the personal journey of one of the participating citizen journalists.
- Video concept
The video will focus on his/her personal experience in dialog, how the project has impacted his/her life, and any insights or reflections on dialog he/she wishes to share. The video should show also the person in dialog, in his/her community. The final video will be a short, engaging portrait, no longer than 2 minutes centered entirely on this participant and told in his/her own words.
- Objective
The objective of this assignment is to plan, shoot, and produce high-quality video content that effectively communicates key messages to the target audience.
- Scope of Work & Responsibilities
The Video Producer will be responsible for:
- Concept development and storyboarding in collaboration with the project manager.
- Filming interviews, events.
- Directing participant and managing crew (if applicable).
- Editing raw footage into engaging final videos with graphics, subtitles, and music.
- Delivering two versions of the video (e.g., full-length and short clips for social media).
- Ensuring all content adheres to DW branding, editorial, and ethical standards.
- Coordinating revisions based on feedback from the project manager.
- Deliverables
- one Video of approximate 2-minute in (I want to check with the IES).
- Edited versions optimized for (Website, Instagram, Facebook, etc..)
- Subtitled versions in English.
- Final delivery by July 31st, 2025.

- Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in video production, editing, and storytelling.
- Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro).
- Strong visual and audio editing skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Budget and Payment terms
- 2000USD
- 30% will be paid after finalizing the shooting.
- 70% will be paid upon submission and approval of the final video deliverable.
- The payment will be made per deliverable, and the agreed amount will be inclusive of all costs, including shooting, editing, transportation, and any other related expenses. No additional reimbursements will be provided.
