Under the direct supervision of the MEAL officer in Lebanon, the Data Collector and Analyzer will support WHH Lebanon in data collection, conducting surveys, data analysis and drafting reports. He/she will support data collection in the field for household/beneficiary data collection as far as possible, and other monitoring activities in person and/or remotely.
Tasks & Activities:
- Conduct in person and/or over the phone evaluations, interviews, and other surveys as assigned by MEAL Lebanon
- Conduct field visits incl. KIIs for specific tasks as assigned by MEAL Lebanon
- Provide feedback and verbal briefs to MEAL Lebanon, on survey results and outcomes
- Interpreting data, analyzing results using statistical techniques
- Drafting and writing monitoring reports, based on conducted activities and as needed
- Provide oral translation as needed
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in business, economics or social science
Working experience: At least 1 year of previous experience working for a humanitarian organization in Lebanon, in the field of M&E, field worker, or similar
Nationality: Lebanese
Personality requirements: Ability to integrate in a multicultural team, good communication skills, must be able and willing to interact with refugee (syrians and palestinians) and host communities in a friendly and open manner, good attention to detail, willing and able to work on short notice basis, with irregular working days (work during weekdays Monday-Friday)
Other requirement: He/She is responsible to ensure his transportation and communication during the mission (in some missions transportation may be covered)
Skills:
- Able to use a tablet and to enter data electronically
- Knowledge of Kobo Toolbox and/or Akvoflow software
- Knowledge in using excel or other programs for data analysis
- Previous experience in conducting interviews/assessments a strong asset
- Able to write short reports if needed, based on data collected
General Terms and Conditions:
The M&E support worker will be employed on an on-call basis by Welthungerhilfe. Working hours will vary per month.
While employed by Welthungerhilfe, the M&E support worker is obliged to maintain the confidentiality of all information obtained in the course of work.
The M&E support worker will be contracted through a Service Contract, based on Welthungerhilfe’s employment conditions for local staff in Lebanon.
The starting date for this position is as soon as possible; the employment duration will be for 2 to 3 weeks, with a possibility of extension based on needs.
