Job Overview
The Daily Monitor will support the implementation of food distribution activities in shelters, schools, and community centers under DCL programmes in coordination with the World Food Programme (WFP). The role includes distributing food items such as fortified date bars and snacks, conducting field monitoring visits, collecting feedback from beneficiaries, and supporting awareness sessions.
The Daily Monitor will ensure that distribution activities are carried out efficiently and in compliance with DCL and WFP guidelines, while maintaining accurate records, reporting field observations, and coordinating with focal points and relevant stakeholders to support smooth program implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the distribution of food items (such as fortified date bars, snacks, or other food commodities) in shelters, schools, and community centers.
• Ensure distributions are conducted according to approved beneficiary lists and distribution plans.
• Conduct monitoring visits to assigned shelters and centers to ensure proper implementation of food distribution activities.
• Verify quantities received and distributed, and report any discrepancies, damaged items, or operational issues.
• Monitor food quality, storage conditions, and distribution modalities to ensure compliance with program standards.
• Assist in organizing distribution sites to ensure safe, orderly, and efficient distribution processes.
• Collect and record accurate data related to beneficiaries, participation, and distribution activities using approved tools.
• Document issues, irregularities, challenges, and recommendations identified during field visits and distributions.
• Prepare and submit monitoring and distribution reports to the Area Coordinator.
• Collect feedback from beneficiaries and relevant stakeholders regarding distribution activities and services.
• Support awareness and sensitization sessions related to food distribution and program objectives.
• Ensure beneficiaries understand the purpose and benefits of the food distribution activities.
• Maintain effective communication and coordination with shelter focal points, center staff, and project stakeholders.
• Attend required training sessions and coordination meetings as requested.
• Ensure compliance with DCL and WFP operational guidelines and safeguarding standards.
• Maintain confidentiality of beneficiary information and project-related data.
• Perform any other related tasks assigned by the supervisor to support program implementation.
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent; a Bachelor’s degree in a related field is a plus.
• Previous experience in food distribution, field monitoring, or humanitarian/NGO work is preferred.
• Ability to travel to shelters, schools, and community centers in North Lebanon and Akkar.
• Knowledge of humanitarian principles and NGO operations is an advantage.
• MS Office proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
• Fluency in both Arabic and English is mandatory.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle is preferred.
• Ability to work in field conditions and flexible working hours.
