Diakonia is a Swedish faith based non-governmental development organization. Our mission is to change unfair political, economic and social structures that generate poverty, oppression and violence.   Diakonia, in partnership with RDFL (Lebanese Women Democratic Gathering), Dar Al Amal, and Caritas Lebanon, is carrying a project under the title “Promoting Human Rights Policy and Practice in Lebanese Women’s Prisons,” funded by EU delegation in Lebanon. This project has been designed to build on long experience of Diakonia and its partners in working to improve the human rights situation inside Lebanon’s women’s prisons; and in serving women detainees and prisoners through providing services, improving the conditions in the prisons, and supporting rehabilitation and preparation for their reintegration into society.    The project encloses set of activities to be carried over a period of 30 months, such as: developing training curricula, capacity building for prisons staff, providing legal awareness and assistance to inmates, studies and legal reviews, advocacy, drafting a law, etc.           I.                        Objective of the consultancy Diakonia is commissioning a web developer to develop and design a website for the project to be an advocacy central place for the activities and efforts carried out to improve women’s prisons conditions. The website should enable broader participation on the issue and provide more easily accessible information to the interested parties.        II.                        Deliverables (i)       Design a website with basic features and other features to be discussed with the contracting organization. 2 languages: Arabic and English. 5 main pages/tabs, and around 15 sub-pages/tabs. Host a database (basic) Interactive website: ability to comment, search, share on facebook, tweet, etc. (ii)     Provide training to use the website, add or edit the content. (iii)   Provide options for secure and reliable hosting companies. (iv)   Be available for any follow-up or problem encountered. (v)     Provide the contracting organization the domain registration information, domain registrar usernames/passwords, as well as the web/email hosting setup information and username/password in case for future changes.
