Project Manager for an Online Educational and Emotional Support initiative

Project objective

The project has a strong communal dimension and will focus on fostering the spirit of volunteerism among young people that was observed after the Beirut Explosion in August. Specific focus on the affected areas in Beirut to support young learners, and ensure their equal opportunity to succeed despite the challenges. Our project aims to be a sign of hope through supporting a limited number of families in the affected areas.

Project Strategy

The project will be implemented over 3 months (March 2021 – June 2021) and will follow a participatory and inclusive approach involving all relevant stakeholders, including school institutions and a circle of volunteers -university students from different academic backgrounds, to ensure their full engagement and maximize their inputs and contributions to the project. The sequence of the activities is designed to build on existent support and then move forward to adapt and create new methods based on emerging needs.

Objectives of the assignment

The objective of hiring the services of a Project Manager over 3 months (End March 2021 – June 2021) is to:

• Supporting and leading our volunteers network;
• Following-up on their assignments and in providing administrative and logistics support;
• Being a role model for the volunteers by also teaching students;
• Helping in managing the schedule of all the students and the tutors;
• Providing support to the project leader for the successful implementation of the project.
