Design, Monitoring & Evaluation Officer

The Monitoring and Evaluation Officer will be responsible for designing and implementing the M&E activities of the Project; assisting the Business Development & Quality Assurance Manager in preparing Monthly/Quarterly/Annual reports on project progress and will monitor the project activities on a regular basis, developing and maintaining the online database and monitoring system of the organization and will be responsible for the collection & analysis of different data in relation to the project activities. The Monitoring and Evaluation Officer will work in close collaboration with the different units within the organization.

Main duties:

Project Implementation:

1. Assist in developing and strengthening monitoring and evaluation plans.

2. Assist in developing monitoring and impact indicator for the projects.

3. Follow up on monitoring frameworks of projects. 4. Assist in monitoring and evaluating the overall progress on achievement of results.

5. Develop questionnaires and M&E tools.

6. Provide feedback to the Business Development and Quality Assurance Manager on project progress and activities.

Data Collection and Analysis:

7. Assist in developing and revising questionnaires/data collection tools Support Field Officers in the data collection and data entry process in the online platform

8. Assists in the processing, analysis and reporting of data where needed

9. Properly and systematically archive data in e-library 10. Conduct interviews and focus group discussions to collect qualitative data

11. Ensure effective implementation of M&E procedures with the field officers and provide them with technical support on data collection tools and processes and capacity building needed in terms of data collection and data entry;

12. Keep accurate records of all data (Soft and Hard) and monitor Box files

13. Conduct field visits to monitor data collection process

Reports and Proposals:

14. Report monthly, quarterly, half-yearly and annual progress on all projects’ activities supported by activity reports done by field officers and/or area managers

15. Provide inputs, information and statistics for quarterly, annual and other reports to Business Development and Quality Assurance Manager

16. Participate in annual project reviews and planning workshops and assist the Business Development and Quality Assurance Manager in preparing relevant reports

17. Conduct literature reviews and gather secondary data for concept notes, proposals, assessments and/or evaluations

18. Perform other duties as required
