Internship Program Officer

The Internship Program Officer will be responsible for developing new internship programs or improving existing ones. This might include creating job descriptions, establishing eligibility requirements, setting standards for performance evaluation, linking internship opportunities with jobs in the market, etc.

  1.  Coordinating with the BDQA and Operations teams on projects design and targets.
  2.  Ensure proper internship process to Area managers, field officers and local partners.
  3.  Managing the flow of applications through the recruitment process by collecting and reviewing applications.
  4.  Conducting pre-evaluations and post-evaluations at different levels (1 Month, Quarterly, Mid-Year or end of internship).
  5.  Interviewing candidates to assess their qualifications and fit with the employer's job requirements.
  6.  Reviewing candidate application forms to determine qualifications, experience levels, and relevant skill sets.
  7.  Supporting and coaching candidates who don’t have a CV to prepare one.
  8.  Conducting reference checks to verify information on applications and resumes.
  9.  Develop and keep up-to-date the employer database.
  10.  Gather and report marketplace information that permits the incumbent to properly identify potential employment or internship opportunities.
  11.  Scheduling and conducting orientation sessions for new interns.
  12.  Reviewing resumes to identify candidates with relevant experience and qualifications who may be interested in open positions.
  13.  Conducting exit interviews with departing interns to assess satisfaction with the program and offer feedback to improve future offerings.
  14.  Regularly coordinating with different employers.
  15.  Developing MoUs and partnership agreements.
  16.  Set and implement a growth plan for the internship program
  17.  Follow up on the recruitment of interns post internship, if needed
  18. Assess trainees information, including resumes and contact details, using a Workforce Data Management System
