Monitoring, Evaluation and Accountability Officer will be responsible for:
- Result 1 – Plan and monitor projects evaluations (for self-implemented projects), including:
- Prepare an annual project, monitoring and evaluation plan and budget;
- Form and coordinate an evaluation team for every evaluation;
- Prepare, coordinate and conduct evaluations of projects.
- Result 2 – Initiate, design and guide project evaluations, including:
- Design monitoring tools to measure the project indicators and yields accurate findings to record.
- Select data collection methods and lead evaluation team throughout the evaluation.
- Analyze data collected, generate findings, recommendations and lessons learnt,
- Prepare evaluation reports;
- Communicate evaluation reports with different stakeholders.
- Result 3 - Stimulate evaluative thinking throughout the organization, including:
- Identify deficiencies and discuss it with program managers and come up with possible solutions;
- Collect and disseminate lessons learned from evaluations and incorporate them into new concept notes and project proposals.
- Result 4 - Ensure community participation and accountability
- Facilitate participation of community members, in particular more vulnerable groups, in programme activities and key programme decisions.
- Ensure programme staff and volunteers have a full understanding of the communities they are working with, including the community dynamics, culture and power relations between diverse groups
- Ensure that feedback and complaints is collected and responded to through different channels, and provide this information to the relevant field and management staff in order to act upon it
- Based on community feedback and assessment data, identify and utilise the best communication approaches to provide communities with relevant and actionable information and receive feedback from served communities
- Support field staff developing communication messages and materials
