Support provision of MHPSS service:
- Assess psychosocial needs of beneficiaries (men, women, children and families) using Dorcas tools
- Design a tailored action plan to respond to the psychosocial needs of each person
- Ensure the implementation of a quality MHPSS intervention for beneficiaries showing psychological distress.
- Establish of long-term and short-term objectives that ensure safety and stability and enhance the flexibility of the individual and the family to bring their lives back to normal
- Implement individual intervention plans with the consent of the beneficiaries or their caregivers
- Organize and facilitate group sessions for beneficiaries and/or their caregivers
- Conduct positive parenting sessions for caregivers
- Refer beneficiaries to specialized services when needed
- Conduct visits to people including who are not able to come to the center
- Use various communication means (written, spoken, drawn, etc.) during activities to ensure effective inclusion
Support and contribute to effective implementation of project objectives;
- Participate in Dorcas training as needed and when requested
- Document any protection concerns or any incident/ act that causes harm to beneficiaries and report them promptly to the Line Manager and to the MHPSS TC
- Respect principles of data protection and security, and all guidelines of documentation within the project and keep data records
- Maintain complete individual files for each person visited, including detailed descriptions of services provided
Internal and external reporting
- To provide internal reporting to the line manager and to the MHPSS TA on activities according to Dorcas internal tools

- Respects beneficiary’s privacy and confidentiality (he/she only shares medical information with medical staff/persons directly involved in beneficiary’s care).
Professional competencies required
- Bachelor or incomplete degree in Education, Sociology or Psychology
- High communication skills
- Previous experience in PSS will be an added advantage
- Experience working for an NGO preferred
Personal competencies required
- Fluent in Arabic – written and spoken
- Good in English – written and spoken
- Good level of reporting skills
- Good knowledge of computer
- High level of communication skills, ability to listen and open-mindedness
- Flexibility, ability to work with multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural people
- Able to cope and work in considerably stressful environment
- Good time management and task management skills
- Able to work independently and with autonomy, while following objectives and instructions
- High level of diplomacy, cultural sensitivity and security awareness
- Desire to develop his/her expertise and knowledge.
- Motivated, dynamic; able and willing to take initiatives
