Drosos Foundation is a private, charitable, non-profit organisation, based in Switzerland. It is politically, religiously and ideologically independent and supports projects that have a direct bearing on improving the living conditions of particular groups of people. Project implementation is typically commissioned to partner organisations. Further information can be found on the Foundation’s website: www.drosos.org/en. The Foundation supports various projects in Lebanon focusing on income generation and micro-credit. Striving for effectiveness and efficiency of works done by partner organisations under contract. as external consultant for temporary assignments for the following tasks:  Financial control of ongoing project activities: • to check financial statements to determine if a project is progressing according to budget; • to check the regular inflows and outflows, duly considering all the payments for the day, week and month; Financial assessment of partner organisations: • to review and identify accounting data for smooth accounting practices and error free documentation or reporting; • to examine booking/accounting systems, financial records, and internal controls to ensure no mismanagement. • to comprehensively assess the partner organisation’s finance; • to deal with auditors of partner organisations. Financial training of partner organisations: • to introduce international accounting standards; • to develop financial strategies; • to develop financial statements. Qualifications and requirements: •
5 years working experience in financing
• Full computer literacy
• Proven record of work in the development sector (micro-credit, income generating activities)
• Fluent communication skills in Arabic, English and French
