Driver

The project will run for 5 years and started in September 2021. The position is based in Beirut, Lebanon. This position will start ASAP as full-time employee contract.

Role and Responsibilities

The Driver is responsible to ensure quality in management of the project’s vehicles, their allocation according to match program needs, assure the scheduled maintenances services are timely performed and all necessary documents are accounted and filed in electronic and paper forms.
The Driver will be directly reporting to the Logistics and Operations Manager.

Specific duties include: 

1. Provide driving services for staff in a safe and responsible manner when and where required by project needs.
2. Ensure staff and passengers security,
3. Participate to plan and allocation of right vehicles to ensure efficiency in weekly movement schedule of program staff
4. Airport pick-up for staff, visitors, and guests.
5. Assist in collecting quotations from suppliers.
6. Support in project logistics.
7. Car maintenance and maintaining a travel log sheet
8. Keep mileage records and repair records up to date.
9. Assists with any other duties that may be required by the supervisor.

    

Required and Preferred Qualifications:

1. Valid and clean Lebanese Driving license.
2. Experience of minimum four years in a similar position with international donors, preferably with USAID or UN
3. Well experienced in car general maintenance and road security
4. Knowledge of regional areas in Lebanon, local driving rules and regulations.
5. Good organizational and problem-solving skills
6. Good English and Arabic communication skills, both written and oral
7. Security and Safety training is a plus.
8. Ability to work under pressure
9. Maintain a positive and pleasant attitude
