Psychosocial Technical Advisor

BACKGROUND As part of its cooperation strategy, The Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) seeks to improve the conditions of refugees, IDPs, vulnerable groups and migrants, in particular women and children. Since the beginning of the crisis in Syria, vulnerable people have been suffering from the consequences of displacement, sharing of resources, and their vulnerability is exacerbated due to loss of community safety-nets. SDC supports the implementation of a number of projects targeting the most vulnerable though international organizations, local organizations and UN agencies.  The role of the psychosocial technical advisor is to assist SDC programme officer to develop a sound approach and implementation of psychosocial projects. SCOPE OF ASSIGNEMENT: The Swiss Agency for Cooperation and Development (SDC) would like to recruit a psychosocial technical advisor in order to:  - Identify capacity gaps of partners implementing projects with psychosocial components; - Assess the capacity of potential partners to implement psychosocial interventions; - Assist in the design of capacity building programme relating to sexual and gender-based violence/ psychosocial interventions/ etc… ; - Follow up on the implementation of trainings to partner organizations; - Review and comment documents, provide insight related to psychosocial interventions and documentation of indicators; - Support SDC local partners by providing technical advice as needed; - Meet with partners and identify working context and vulnerability criteria; - Support SDC programme officer in the identification of potential partners. - Support SDC programme officer in the recruitment of staff as needed. - Report to SDC programme officer on a monthly basis. - Other tasks as requested by SDC programme officer This assignment is mainly based online.
