Trainer for the Mobile Crisis Team (MCT) Lifeline Operations

The trainer will be responsible for providing structured training sessions to newly recruited MCT members (project coordinator, GP or psychiatrists, psychiatric nurses), equipping them with the necessary knowledge and skills to handle psychiatric emergencies effectively. 

A.  Major Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop a comprehensive training curriculum tailored to the needs of the MCT. 
• Conduct training sessions covering key topics, including but not limited to: 

Lifeline & NMHERM Operations  

1. Objectives of the National Lifeline  
2. Structure of Lifeline 
3. Lifeline Model: Befrienders Model 
4. Establishing a Relationship 
5. Suicide Risk Assessment: Active Listening, De-escalation, Safety Planning, Psychosis De-escalation,...  
6. Role play 
7. Hope Building 
8. Collaborative Problem Solving and Action Plan  
9. Triage for Dispatch of Mobile Crises Team 

• Assess trainees’ competencies through interactive discussions, case studies, and evaluations.

B. Deliverables 

• A structured training plan and materials (PowerPoint presentations, case studies, handouts).  
• Facilitate and deliver the training sessions, ensuring engagement and practical application.  
• A comprehensive training report summarizing participant feedback, assessment results, and recommendations for further capacity building. 

C.  Qualifications 

• Minimum 2 years of experience with Lifeline - Embrace. 
• Previous experience in training healthcare professionals or crisis teams. 
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills. 

D.  Time Commitment: 

1 Half Day training (9:00 AM – 1:00 PM) - to be scheduled between June 28, 2025 and July 14, 2025.
