Programme Officer

Responsibilities:

Take full charge of implementing the consequent rounds of the programmes, i.e., announcing new rounds, follow through with all selection process requirements in a transparent way and in line with Ettijahat guidelines and under the supervising of the Programmes Manager, implement and follow up on grantee contracts until contract closure including follow up on interim and final narrative and financial reports

Key Duties:

  • Maintain a continuous communication flow with programmes’ beneficiaries on grant implementation during contract implementation, and uphold a strong communication with previous grantees after contracts are closed
  • Conduct field visits as needed to monitor activities implementation
  • Map technical assistance needs of grantees and organize required technical assistance training and sessions with experts
  • Ensure timely submission of interim and final narrative and financial reports under the supervising of the Programmes Manager
  • Helping the programmes manager in drafting reports for donors and the Board of Directors of Ettijahat
  • Collect data that serves strategic analyses and feed into the communication strategy of Ettijahat
  • Provide the communication unit of Ettijahat with information needed to disseminate and strengthen the visibility of the program at a regional level
  • Generally work toward and monitor that all programs’ components are implemented in line with the Program’s strategic framework of Ettijahat
  • Timely conceptualize and draft terms of reference for the overall program evaluation by an external expert
  • Stay abreast of socio-political developments in the region Perform other tasks if needed

Skills and qualities:

  • 5+ years of work experience in project management, preferably in arts and culture
  • Excellent IT skills including all MS Office programs, WordPress and Photoshop
  • Excellent command of English, with ability to create and edit publicity texts.  Very good knowledge of French would be an asset
  • Experience in desk research and in collating and analyzing information
  • Ability to perform small and big administrative tasks, and to operate smoothly in a team
  • Very good knowledge of the civil society sector
  • Ability to travel
