RESPONSIBILITIES
Grants Officer
- Researches new funding opportunities available through local, government agencies, as well as through private and corporate foundations
- Reads and interprets requests for proposals and funding guidelines from government agencies and foundations to determine if appropriate and how best to respond and comply.
- Disseminates information on funding opportunities and compliance requirements to staff.
- Assists in writing and in submitting grant applications
- Assists in developing and implementing grant proposals
- Facilitates grant efforts, including grant approval process and post-award compliance
- Assists in development and update of the grant application calendar
- Follows up with funding agencies
- Researches information and data necessary for grants and grant reporting.
- Develops outlines, timelines, staffing, budgets, and templates for grants according to funding guidelines.
- Assists in administration functions such as budgeting, budget amendments, plan change, program evaluation
- Works as a team with other grants office staff in performing grants office activities and assists the NGO with obtaining and maintaining external funding.
- Maintains necessary records, files, reports, databases, and resource materials pertinent to grants office activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Reporting Officer
- Uses information from program activities and field reporting to compile quick results information products on program status and impact, including RFIs and success stories.
- Reports program status and impact to a number of audiences and through a variety of formats.
- Coordinates weekly report outputs, highlights and success stories, ad-hoc reporting and client RFIs, media monitoring.
- Provides substantial inputs to Program team in writing of quarterly reports and updates.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A Masters degree in economics, social sciences or related field is required
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as Grant and Reporting Officer
- Knowledge of grants and grant administration systems, processes and budgeting.
- Experience in designing & facilitating training programs, participatory programs
- Ability to prepare reports and correspondence
- Ability to analyze and systematically compile technical and statistical information
- Strong documentation, research and report writing skills
- Willingness to travel to multiple field sites within Lebanon
- Collaborative team player
