Liaison officer

The specific responsibilities of the Liaison Officer will include the following:

  • Provide technical and administrative support on the implementation of the project activities
  • Liaising with local authorities and other local partners
  • Coordinating and supporting trainings, meetings, events, and workshops and development of awareness materials and activities.
  • Raising awareness of project objectives and outputs
  • Conducting visits to project sites
  • Assist in the preparation of work-plans, progress reports, and minutes of meetings.
  • Addressing obstacles that may affect project implementation
  • Ensure smooth coordination between trainers, beneficiaries and training centers.
  • Provide additional support to Project Management Unit as required.

Education:
• Candidate should have at least a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management / Social Works / Development / Agriculture or relevant area.

Experience:
• 2 years of sound working experience in the field of humanitarian.
• The candidate should have a firm understanding of community development and expertise in self-reliant and participatory development process.
• S/he should have proven experience in field work and NGO work
• S/he should have a successful record of working with local authorities and community groups in a multi-stakeholder environment.
• S/he must be willing to travel frequently and adapt to difficult working conditions.
• S/he should also have the ability to use tact and diplomacy, resolve conflicts and achieve results.
