Senior Accountant

Role And Responsibilities

  • Performs daily accounting operations for the entire group in accordance with the Lebanese chart of accounts and the company’s internal policies and regulations.
  • Prepares and reviews monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Manages general ledger functions, including posting journal entries, performing reconciliations, and making necessary adjustments.
  • Maintains fixed asset registers and calculates depreciation.
  • Monitors and analyzes accounting data and generates reports as required.
  • Prepares VAT declarations and Tax on Salaries.
  • Prepares and maintains inventory records, ensuring accurate stock valuation and reconciliation.
  • Oversees production accounting, including tracking material consumption, labor costs, and overhead allocations.
  • Supports internal and external audit processes by preparing required schedules and documentation.
  • Ensures compliance with internal controls and recommends enhancements where needed.
  • Remains updated on changes to accounting standards, tax regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Identifies opportunities to streamline processes, automate tasks, and improve workflow efficiency.
  • Supports enhancements and updates to the ERP and accounting systems.
  • Assists in preparing the annual budget and contributes to periodic forecasting activities.
  • Maintains organized filing systems for accounting documents, ensuring proper storage, accessibility, and compliance with record-keeping requirements.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • +4 to 7 years relevant work experience in accounting
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Word, Excel,…) and accounting softwares.
  • Flexibility in performing duties, with exceptional ability to execute multiple tasks concurrently

  • Analyze and compile technical and statistical information to prepare reports and correspondence
