Consultant for Supporting Girls and Young Women in the Advocacy Initiative Process

Consultant/Female Leader to help support and guide a group of girls and young women - GYW in order to plan, implement, and monitor an advocacy initiative. 

Functions/Key Deliverables Expected:

  • Conduct an orientation session with FRF to understand the objectives and outcomes of She Leads project
  • Set and implement a 3-month plan mentioning the methodology to coach and follow up with a group of girls and young women to plan their own advocacy initiative 
  • Ensure proper guidance to the group and coordinate closely with FRF on any further clarification 
  • Oversee the implementation of the advocacy initiative and support the GYW group to report their progress 
  • Submit a final narrative report at the end of the consultancy

Skills and Qualifications Required:

The Consultant should possess the following minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field in the area of community participation, social work, development studies or any other related field
  • 2-3 years of experience in gender and advocacy
  • Relevant working experience in community engagement and social activism, and GBV for social projects
  • Knowledge in use of computer software packages for word-processing, excel, power point and internet
  • Being proactive, organized, responsible and having the proven ability to work well with a team
  • Excellent communication skills, teamwork, facilitation skills, hardworking, works well under pressure and flexibility
  • Fluent in Arabic and English
