The objective of the advocacy consultancy is to create an advocacy campaign over the period of 3 months. The advocacy campaign is to disseminate the results of the research and create a call to action to encourage violence reporting.
The advocacy campaign should include multimedia content: videos, infographics, gifs, illustrations, and info images.
The campaign should include online and offline activities.
- Objectives of the Campaign:
- Updating the debate on times of crisis.
- Encourage reporting on GBV and the services provided in Lebanon.
- Providing tools for GBV survivors for reporting and receiving psychosocial support services.
- Disseminate the results of the research conducted.
- Increase accessibility of GBV services for women and girls in that targeting areas.
- Increase the public awareness on GBV.
The advocacy campaign plan will be finalized and adjusted based on the results of the research being conducted.
Duties:
Develop Offline activities:
- Offline activities will be conducted to showcase the results of the research results and disseminate the campaign.
- Organize meetings with key persons and decision makers such as Syndicates, INGOs and Women led Organizations.
- Organize Press Conference that targets media personal to reach the highest number of people (5 media coverages should be conducted through TV – Newspaper – Radio – Websites).
- Create flyers that will be distributed in:
- Supermarkets
- Primary Health Care Centers
- Coffee Shops
- Pharmacies
- Coordinate with the FSF communication officer and FSF social workers that will provide beneficiaries with mini awareness sessions once they register for any of FSF services (Humanitarian, Health or Agriculture) noting that this activity will continue after the end of the project as it is very vital for the people that don’t have access to social media and internet.
Develop Online activities:
- Plan online activities on social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and YouTube).
- The messages will be tailored based on the audience of each platform:
- Twitter, FSF will target decision makers and influencers.
- Instagram, FSF will target young women and girls.
- Facebook, FSF will target the public in general mainly women and girls.
- The timing of the posts will depend on the platform being used.
- The materials will be promoted to reach the target audience.
- Mail chimp, FSF will disseminate the research results and services map with all organizations working on GBV in Lebanon.
The advocacy consultant should coordinate and follow up with the Gender Research Consultant to develop the advocacy campaign based on the results of the conducted research as well as the FSF Communication Officer.
The qualifications required for this consultancy:
• Diploma degree in Gender in Development and Humanitarian Assistance or similar areas.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in advocacy and communications.
• Excellent writing skills in Arabic and English.
• Good analytic skills.
• Communication skills.
• Accuracy and attention to details.
• Capacity to meet deadlines and properly plan the work.
