Major Responsibilities:
- Needs Assessment: Understand Sharika Wa Laken’s goals as a Feminist news platform, audience, and content objectives to tailor the editorial policy accordingly.
- Research and Analysis: Conduct research on industry best practices, competitors, and audience preferences to inform policy development.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with key stakeholders, including editorial teams, management, and subject matter experts, to gather input and insights.
- Policy Development: Create a comprehensive feminist editorial policy document that outlines guidelines, feminist standards, and procedures for content creation, editing, and publishing.
- Content Guidelines: Define style, tone, and branding guidelines to maintain a consistent voice across all content.
- Content Governance: Establish clear roles and responsibilities for content creation, review, and approval processes.
- Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures to ensure content accuracy, relevance, and adherence to policy.
- Compliance and Legal Considerations: Ensure that content complies with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical feminist standards.
- Accessibility and Inclusivity: Ensure that content is accessible to diverse audiences and that inclusivity is prioritized in content creation.
