Deliverables:
• Spearheading and orchestrating an inclusive and pioneering session on feminist activism and networking for Palestine.
• Developing a comprehensive presentation for the session in Arabic.
• Employing interactive, engaging and compelling facilitation tools, methodologies, and activities.
• Formulating pre- and post-assessment measures (when needed/upon request).
• Providing constructive feedback to the programs team.
Requirements:
As a facilitator your role would involve guiding discussions, encouraging participation, and ensuring that diverse voices are heard. We envision an interactive and inclusive environment where attendees can share insights, learn from one another, and contribute to the ongoing discourse.
• Communication Skills:
- Collaborate with organizers to understand the overarching goals and specific themes of the Open Feminist Networking Day.
- Excellent communication skills, especially in spoken Arabic, including the ability to convey complex concepts in an accessible and relatable manner.
- Skillful in active listening, empathetic communication, and responding sensitively to participants' concerns.
• Facilitation Skills:
- Strong facilitation skills to engage participants effectively, create inclusive and safe learning spaces, and encourage active participation.
- Ability to adapt facilitation techniques to different audiences, ensuring engagement and comprehension.
• Knowledge and Expertise:
- Research and familiarize yourself with key issues related to feminism in the Palestinian context.
- Ensure sessions incorporate diverse perspectives, including those of Palestinian feminists, to enrich the dialogue.
- In-depth understanding of the social, cultural, and systemic factors of the Palestinian Feminist Activism.
- Familiarity with feminist theories, frameworks, and intersectional approaches.
- Foster an understanding of the cultural nuances and sensitivities surrounding the Palestinian case, respecting diverse viewpoints.
- Guide discussions to promote cultural exchange and mutual understanding among participants.
- Strive to create an inclusive environment that recognizes and respects the intersectionality of feminist perspectives, including those from different regions, backgrounds, and identities.
