The information manager will be expected to generate monthly reports, information material, and user friendly info graphics on the situation of women and children in the governorate, and on the implementation of certain programs in the area.
Job Requirements
Experience in working in information management in the humanitarian/human rights field is preferred. Relevant experience of working in/with the government structures and understanding its procedure will be required. Knowledge of data collection, analysis and management software is required.
Experience:
At least 3 years’ experience working in information management, with a public or private organization, humanitarian/human rights field experience is a plus.
Database development and information management.
GIS experience is highly preferred and additional geomatic skills are an asset.
Experience in working for operational UN agency or NGO is an advantage
Experience in gathering and compiling data and producing reports, maps and other user friendly communication material.
Working with government ministry or agency, or with government officials and nongovernment actors is a plus.
Skills and personal traits:
Ability to manage multiple tasks using a project management approach in a rapidly changing environment;
Highly motivated, with strong initiative and good judgment;
Strong supervisory, inter-personal and communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of people;
Technical skills in gathering information, writing reports and analyzing data and using data software, and Microsoft word, excel and power point.
