National Health Accounts Officer - 1 year contract duration

  1. Core Duties & Responsibilities
  • To collect data on National Health Accounts from various stakeholders including military funds, public funds, NGOs, private insurance, mutual funds and social insurance agencies.
  • To collaborate with the core team at the Ministry of Finance in triangulating healthcare expenditure across schemes, providers and functions (where applicable).
  • To train focal points at public funds on data collection based on the SHA2011
  • To work on creating a core NHA team at the level of each public fund.

  • NHA 2022-2023 validation of collected data with the Ministry of Finance
  • NHA 2022-2023 report writing
  • NHA 2024 data collection
  • Monthly report pertaining to the above activities and attendance schedule

6.Required Qualifications
Masters in Public Health with a minimum of 3 years experience in healthcare financing
Communication skills with ability to conduct expert meetings
Data collection skills with the ability to conduct focus group discussions and other data collection methods such as key informant interviews, and secondary data collection
Experience in healthcare financing data analytics

7.Reporting & Supervision
The recruit will report to the Head of Vital and Health Statistics Department
