School Health Coordinator -6 months

UNICEF will provide assistance by engaging a school health coordinator to manage all the phases of this new initiative

      1. Ensuring a comprehensive and coordinated approach between PHCC and Schools for medical screening in the current scholastic year
      2. Mapping and identification of the schools in different PHCC’s catchment area and creating an implementation plan
      3. Mapping and identification of PHCCs under the AaSalameh initiative, and coordinate between PHCCs and the Makani centres (centers that provide a safe space for children and young people to access learning opportunities, child protection and other critical services) to provide regular sessions by Nurse and Community Health workers as will be identified.
      4. Conduct capacity building of the PHCCs on the health services to be provided to the schools and Makani centers with the time-frequency (health screening guidelines, health education and promotion, vaccination etc)
      5.  Ensure that the reporting data system is well secured, and the platform used in this project is linked to MEHE data platform and Makani data platform
      6. Ensure proper referral pathway and system identified and utilized
      7. Ensure a proper communication, coordination, management and monitoring at different levels between all the stakeholders
      8. Develop a detailed documentation and planning needed for implementing School Health program (reporting on the ongoing activities with location and timing with suggested recommendations and mitigations when needed)
      9. Report any challenges/bottlenecks with all the stakeholders, with suggested mitigations to ensure the continuity of the project
      10. Assess program effectiveness by monthly reporting on the project updates.
      11. Conduct routine field visits to the schools and Makani centers to monitor the quality of work, the implementation of the project with the progress achieved
      12. Participate in needed meetings and take minutes and share with relevant focal points
      13. Other tasks as required

Education:
· Bachelor's degree in public health, Health Management, or any related administrative or health field with at least 3-4 years of proven professional experience.

Experience and Skills:
· Experience in managing health projects, providing technical assistance and leadership through monitoring implementation processes, generating reports, and communicating with various stakeholders.
· Skilled in utilizing Microsoft Office tools, with a specific focus on Excel.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Experience with processing large amount of information and synthesizing it.
· Ability to work in a team and in a diverse work environment.
