Call for Applications – Legal Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise the team of legal associates, counselors, and case workers to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Assign cases, monitor progress, and ensure deadlines are met in line with organizational policies and donor requirements.
  • Oversee case management systems, ensuring data is timely, complete, and accurate across all relevant databases and tools.
  • Implement structured oversight systems, including workflows, performance monitoring, and case-tracking procedures.
  • Ensure proper documentation, filing, and reporting of all legal cases and activities.
  • Conduct regular quality checks of case progress, identify gaps, and provide corrective guidance.
  • Prepare and submit regular reports to management and donors.
  • Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment while ensuring accountability and performance standards.
  • Coordinate with other departments (advocacy, administration, M&E) to ensure integrated program delivery.

Required Qualifications

  • University degree in Law, Management, Public Administration, Social Sciences, or related field.
  • Proven track record in managing professional teams, especially those handling legal, technical, or case-based work.
  • Demonstrated experience in structured oversight systems (databases, workflows, and deadlines management).
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Full-time availability is required. Applicants who are Attorneys-at-Law currently engaged in private practice will not be considered.

  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capacity.
  • Ability to design and enforce structured workflows and case oversight mechanisms.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and case/database management tools.
  • Fluency in Arabic and English (spoken and written). French is an asset.

Preferred

  • Prior experience in the NGO or humanitarian sector.
  • Familiarity with legal aid, human rights, or protection programs.
  • Knowledge of Lebanese legal and judicial procedures is an advantage.
