Ruwad Al Houkouk – Frontiers Rights (FRH) is a Lebanese non-governmental organization dedicated to the promotion and protection of human rights, with a special focus on the rights of refugees, asylum seekers, migrant workers, and stateless persons. Since its establishment, FRH has been at the forefront of providing legal aid, strategic litigation, advocacy, and policy reform to ensure access to justice and protection of fundamental rights. Our work combines direct legal services with capacity-building, research, and public advocacy to advance systemic change and strengthen the rule of law in Lebanon.
Position Overview
The Legal Manager is responsible for leading and supervising the legal team’s daily operations, ensuring effective workflows, staff performance, compliance with internal procedures, and smooth coordination with other departments. The role focuses on management, oversight, reporting, and representation rather than substantive legal review.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate daily activities of legal case workers, counselors, and associates.
- Ensure team performance, case distribution, and timely completion of tasks.
- Develop and implement internal policies, procedures, and workflows for legal aid delivery.
- Manage quantitative and qualitative reporting on legal activities and outcomes.
- Support project design and development by contributing to workplans, indicators, and donor reporting.
- Represent the organization in coordination meetings, workshops, and public forums.
- Coordinate with communications staff to develop success stories and advocacy content.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Law degree (Master’s preferred) or related discipline.
- At least 7 years of professional experience, including 3–5 years in managerial/supervisory roles within NGOs, legal aid, or human rights fields.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and reporting skills.
- Familiarity with Lebanese legal system (knowledge of nationality and personal status laws is an asset).
- Excellent communication and representation skills in Arabic and English.
