Communication Officer

Ruwad alHoukouk FR is looking for dynamic individuals with strong records in journalism, media and communications to lead the association’s communication strategies, actions, and campaign to raise the cause of its beneficiary population. 

Job Description

•Developing and implementing communications strategies & work-plans.

•Developing news and messages, organizing press events, handling interviews requests, and providing responses to requests from media relating to the work of the association.  

•Monitoring and analysing the social media of the Association.

•Providing regularly professional communications advice to the association senior staff and its board members.

•Drafting talking points and messages for the Director of the association.

•Drafting for dissemination briefing notes, press releases, fact sheets, press lines and 'if-asked' guidance notes, social media outputs, etc. for all issues under area of responsibility.

•Producing strategic and of general interest news and features content for dissemination to external audiences via online channels including the associations social media platforms.

•Acting as the association spokesperson.

•Preparing communications budgets

Position requirements:

• Degree in Communications, Political Sciences, Journalism, International Relations or a relevant field.
• Excellent command of Arabic and writing (English is a plus)
• Minimum 5 years of experience in media, journalism or communications
• Knowledge of Human Rights standards frameworks, conventions and treaties
• Social media and multimedia skills
