Hey young people! Have you got some time? Would you like to help us fight for the rights of the stateless people, who don’t have a nationality and are thus deprived of all their basic rights? Experience with marginalized communities. Clear understanding of the human rights framework, including statelessness. Familiarity with local media is a plus. Familiarity with local event organizing is a plus. We are a non-profit, non-sectarian, non-political civil association, working to protect the rights of refugees and stateless minorities. Our legal office strives to lobby for cases and assist them, while we coordinate in parallel with public officials. We have launched a three months campaign in North Lebanon, Akkar, Zahle, Baalbeck and Nabatiyeh, to sensitize the population on the importance of birth registration, inform them on the procedures to take in order to avoid statelessness, and coordinate with public officials to facilitate those procedures.
