GAME is working for social change through youth-led street sports and culture in Africa, Europe, and the Middle East.
GAME establishes innovative facilities, offers youth-leader’s trainings as coaches and role models in street sports and civil society and gives them the opportunity to use entrepreneurship to make positive changes for themselves and for peers and children.
GAME is a top 150 NGO with nearly 20 years of experience in lowering the threshold to the positive social communities of street sports and culture. Together with likeminded partners GAME is empowering children and youth from vulnerable areas and refugee settings.
- Trainer Framework
GAME Lebanon is looking to recruit facilitators to provide training on: Business plan, soft skills, Communication and Branding, Marketing plan, human resources, finance, networking, legal procedures. This training is part of the Youth Resolve II (YRII) Project. Facilitators will advise on the training methodology, the delivery of the trainings, and develop the sessions content & tools.
The selected facilitators, in his/her respective area(s) of expertise, will advise on a collaborative design of tools and materials for trainings and facilitate the sessions.
The selected facilitators will do a follow-up one on one coaching sessions with the participants, based on the needs assessed during the training sessions.
About the Project:
Under YRII, GAME will work on building communities’ resilience and strengthening social stability through Street-Sports and for the first time in Lebanon, through Street Sports Incubator.
Youth Resolve II is the continuation of a project funded by the European Union for approximately 3 years, through the European Union’s Regional Trust Fund, the “EU MADAD” fund, and carried out by World Vision, UTOPIA, DPNA and GAME. The goal of the consortium is to empower youth by providing them with the tools to become leading actors in their communities.
Please note that the Call is open for independent individuals or teams of consultants and experts. The training will be implemented in different regions around Lebanon, and it will be mostly an in-person sessions.
Sessions should be provided in both languages Arabic & English.
- Confidentiality
GAME will treat the content of all applications as being confidential and information provided in the applications will be used for the purpose of deciding on the award of a contract as described in this document.
- Scope of work
Street Sports Incubator overall objective is to build the capacity and increase employability for Lebanese and non-Lebanese youth between 18 and 30 who have an idea/new business or non-profit initiative related to street sports and culture. As part of the first cycle of the SSI in Lebanon, around 30 projects from all over the country have been selected after a four-day start-up camp to move to the six-month incubation period.
Incubation: Cascade the start-up camp to the incubation period from Beginning of November 2021 to end of April 2022.
- Design of the content, tools and materials of the capacity building/coaching/mentoring topics and sessions for the 6-month incubation period divided into group sessions and one to one mentoring and coaching to support the development of the selected ideas. The curriculum is divided in 10 major topics and 36 sub-sessions.
- Implement and monitor the process of cascading the training to the selected ideas from the start-up camp.
- Provision of material and/or tools needed for the delivery of coaching sessions.
- Provide direct visits to the selected businesses or initiatives for the provision of coaching sessions with the ability to move from an area to another since the incubatees are in different areas around Lebanon.
- Mentoring and supporting the participants towards the final pitching and launch phase of the awarded projects.
- Implement an evaluation session gathering all the learning from the incubation period for knowledge sharing, lessons learned and actions to be taken forward, in close coordination with the Monitoring and Evaluation Focal point in GAME.
- Submit an end-of-assignment report, in coordination with GAME dedicated staff, highlighting the training outcomes, pre and post training evaluation results, challenges, and recommendations for next steps.
Post-incubation:
- Final report in coordination with GAME, detailing the progresses and status of the start-up businesses/initiatives and outlining steps for future improvement based on the topic delivered to the incubatees (e.g. this document could include recommendations for an updated business plan if this is an identified need).
- Be able to assist and advise on any other task that is not aforementioned and occurs during the period of employment.
- Facilitator(s) profile
Education: A master’s degree in Business, Sports Business, Social Sciences, communication, marketing, law, human resources, finance, or any other related fields.
Years of experience: A Minimum of 5 years of work experience in the related fields.
Languages: High standards of written and verbal English and Arabic languages.
I would add here to participate in monthly/bi-monthly coordination meetings with GAME dedicated staff and other trainers?
Do we mean a report for each project? Then it would be in coordination with GAME and other trainers, we could provide them with a template where each one can detail his/her feedback and recommendations for each team?

9.General Terms and Conditions
- Pre-selected new candidates will be invited for an interview.
- GAME will select candidates based on previous experience, availability, academic background and expertise.
10. Compensation
In the consideration for the consultation services, the organization shall pay the consultant a rate of USD 30 per hour.
The number of hours will be decided based on the number of sessions provided and the number of hours needed for those sessions to be facilitated and post facilitation coaching.
The consultant shall submit timesheet for the total working hours provided as preparation, delivery and follow up in the incubation period.
Service Acceptance report shall be submitted by the facilitators after the session provided in the incubation period (48 hours).
The facilitator shall provide the organization with her/his bank account information.
11.Conflict of Interest
Any conflicts of interest involving an applicant must be fully disclosed to GAME. Failure to disclose a conflict may disqualify an application or invalidate an award of the contract.
12.Intellectual Property
Any concept, content development, guidelines, or other material developed during the contract will be considered a copyrighted property of GAME.
13. Contract period:
From 1, November 2021 until 30, April 2022.
